Using the Satir Family Therapy and Haven Institute models, Vicky facilitates groups with a focus on communication, self-awareness, breath, coping, and body awareness to both clients and their families. Within the group setting she provides individual time to clients in order to promote a felt sense of healing.
Vicky has Diplomas from the Haven Institute in both Counseling and Group Facilitation, as well as Certification in Satir Family Therapy. In addition to working with Sagewood, she is currently on the assistant faculty at the Haven Institute and assists with their core programs several times a year. She has many years experience facilitating, counseling and coaching persons with addictions (including eating disorders), as well as working with their families.
Vicky has had first hand experience with addiction healing; she has worked on her own recovery since 2007 and is committed to passing the gift to others. One of her core beliefs is that every human being is whole and comes complete with their own natural capabilities, resources and talents. Vicky helps clients see how they can take themselves with confidence and inner resource into the world.
In her spare time, Vicky enjoys exploring her community, singing and painting.
